This Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 Harmony Science Academy Euless will be conducting our Annual MATHCOUNTS qualifying competition. The competition will be held at the HSA-Euless cafeteria from 8:00 AM until Noon.
All interested 6th through 8th Grade students are invited to attend the competition and earn a place on the competitive MATHCOUNTs Team for 2018. HSI-Euless will be sponsoring the 6th Grade Team from the top 6th Graders during the competition. HSA-Euless students will be competing for the 6 available spots on the competitive team which will travel to the regional qualifying tournament at UTA on February 24th.

In accordance with the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students, Harmony Public Schools will begin taking nominations for all interested students in grades 1-12 for gifted and talented screening. Anyone interested in the educational welfare of these students may nominate them for assessment.
Nomination forms are available at the front office, or may be downloaded below. The forms must be returned to the front office by Friday, February 9, 2018. Assessment will begin on Monday, February 5, 2018. For more information about the screening and identification process, parents may contact the school’s GT Coach/teacher.

All Harmony Public Schools DFW will be open today, Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018. All students and staff are expected at their regular time.
This is an important reminder for parents, the last day for re-enrollment is this Friday, January 12th. If you do not re-enroll your child, they will not have access to course selections for next year. Also, students will not have full access to classes and a schedule for next year. Classes fill up quickly so please do not delay re-enrollment.
If you decide to change your mind after January 12th, your child will enter the lottery system for re-enrollment. Should you have questions or need assistance, please contact the campus registrar or one of the high school counselors.

Report cards will be mailed out the week of January 8. You can also check Skyward Family Access anytime to see your student’s current grade for the semester.
Tutorials Notices
Tutorials notices for STAAR/EOC tested subjects will be mailed out the first two weeks of January for students in need of intervention.
Awards Ceremony
Our Fall Semester Award Ceremonies will be held in January and parents are invited! Middle school students will be recognized Thursday, January 11 at 2:45 pm, and high school students will be recognized Friday, January 12 at 2:45 pm. Some of the awards will include A honor roll, A/B honor roll, perfect attendance, and more!
Schedules
Dear Parents, if you have a student in 7th grade, more than likely they will have an updated schedule for the spring semester. Their classes will not change, but the order of classes may change. Students will get their new schedule from the cafeteria on Tuesday morning, January 9 when they return. Please contact Ms. Overall if you have any questions or concerns!

We are now accepting applications from certified ESL and Bilingual Teachers.
Re-Enrollment season will begin on Friday, December 1st, 2017.To re-enroll, forms will be emailed, and sent home with students; these will also be available at the front office. Please be aware that you will be required to submit a proof of residency at the time of completion.
Applications received unsigned, incomplete, without a proof of residency will be returned to parent/student. Any applications received after the closing date may not be considered for the 2018-2019 academic school year. Please be advise that your student will have to go through the lottery process if not submitted on time.

StuCo and Senior Council will co-host Winter Wonderland on Dec 9th from 3-7 PM. Admission is free. Tickets for the attractions are 4 for 1 dollar. Please check flyer for more details. (attach flyer)
Senior Council is hosting a garage sale at school on Dec 9th, during the Winter Wonderland Festival. It is 10 dollars to rent a parking space and sell your own items within the space.
Parking space rental fee will be used for senior grad and senior related events.
(Vendors will keep the profit they make from selling their items)
Payment will be taken in CASH the day of the event.

Harmony staff, teachers, and administrators have spent countless of hours preparing our students for college and each year approximately 85% of our graduating class enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
But, despite these impressive enrollment numbers, far too many of our low income and first-time college students drop out as they hit financial and circumstantial barriers such as the cost of attending college, that has increased by 36% in the last 10 years. Harmony Public Schools has 5,033 graduates to date and is projected to have 11,686 graduates by 2020, current funding sources are unable to meet even the current demands of these programs. Clearly, additional financial support is required.
We are asking our Harmony community to consider going beyond educational efforts, providing even greater assistance to our graduates through generous Harmony Giving Day contributions to the Harmony College Fund. All your donations will go towards helping our Harmony graduates to complete their higher education dreams and achieve their career aspirations by providing additional scholarships and direct college and career support services.
Let’s come together to reach our target of raising $50,000 on our first ever giving day.

In accordance with the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students, Harmony Public Schools will begin taking nominations for kindergarten and newly-enrolled students in grades 1-12 for gifted and talented screening. It is the policy of the Harmony Public Schools to ensure that
